Guest Performance and Event Industry of Municipalities
I have been entrusted by the Zentrum für Kulturforschung (ZfKf) with the project management, survey design, data collection and data analysis for the development of the INTHEGA Statistics on Guest Performance and Event Industry.
INTHEGA (Interessengemeinschaft der Städte mit Theatergastspielen e.V.) stands as the preeminent professional organization representing the touring industry and advocates for the interests of over 400 municipalities in the German-speaking region (Germany, Switzerland, and Austria). Its diverse members comprise cities, municipalities, associations, and other entities responsible for municipal cultural initiatives, all of whom rely on the offerings of touring producers and service providers.
The data collected marks the inaugural endeavor to comprehensively profile the guest theater and event industry as it pertains to municipal or municipally-supported cultural event organizers. This invaluable resource will empower the association, its members, and cultural policymakers to formulate informed strategies and courses of action concerning touring theater and the broader performing arts landscape.
