Cross-Border Cooperation in Arts and Culture

"Lake Constance Region towards a networked creative place".

Project title: Cultural Cooperation in Lake Constance Region

In the coming years, the cultural sector in the Lake Constance region will have to cope with enormous social and structural changes such as the digital transformation, the change in volunteer and civil work, new demands of mobility and tourism, and the profound economic cuts caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The project aims to work out the potentials of cross-border cooperation to solve the tasks and to present a strategic approach for cooperation in the field of culture in the Lake Constance region for 2021 to 2025.

A total of 5 workshops were held, attended by around 100 key people from the region.

This project is one of the first strategically oriented, cross-border projects in the field of culture in the Lake Constance region. Accordingly, the impulse effect can be classified as high. Numerous first contacts were made across borders in the workshops. Invited experts from other sectors within the region as well as from the cultural sector in other regions provided important thematic impulses. The discussions have led to a concept that addresses central development needs in the cultural sector within the Lake Constance region and represents a basis for a joint continuation.
