Platform ecologies in art and culture - Models and development potentials
…is the title of my contribution to workshop 8 NTA10 Conference «Digitisation and Culture» on 14-16 november 2022 in Bern.
Digital platform ecologies are the new pivots in art and culture. They are very diverse in terms of social, economic and public interest, of their functions and goals, their geographic reach, their stakeholder structures and their business models. Due to their high relevance for cultural creation and mediation, cultural policy is increasingly concerned with their governance and funding. Using current examples in Switzerland, we discuss potentials and strategies for further action.
